Rawfill?
Rawfill fait partie du concept ELFM² (Enhanced Landfill Management & Mining). L'accent est mis sur la gestion à long terme des anciennes décharges et sur l'intégration optimale et durable des décharges dans le cadre de vie.
Le projet Interreg Europe du Nord-Ouest RAWFILL a été lancé en 2017 afin de considérer les décharges comme des réserves dynamiques de matériaux, d'énergie et d'espace qui, tôt ou tard, apporteront une valeur ajoutée au cadre de vie et à l'économie locale.
Huit organisations européennes participent au projet : SPAQuE (coordination), l'Université de Liège, OVAM, Cleantech Flanders, Natural Environment Research Council (UK), ATRASOL (B), SAS Les Champs Jouault (F), Bergischer Abfallwirtschaftsverband (D).

The RAWFILL partners are pleased to invite you to the final virtual event of the RAWFILL project that will be held on the 10th of December 2020.
With the RAWFILL project we are supporting a new circular economy for raw materials from landfills. As circular economy is one of the main priorities to the EU, the landfill mining is an efficient solution to the transition from traditional waste management to sustainable material management. To implement this circular economy in NW Europe, RAWFILL has developed three tools:
An innovative method to characterize and assess the economic potential of the landfill using geophysics and guided samples.
An enhanced landfill inventory structure (ELIF).
A decision support tool that help to select the most profitable landfill mining projects.
Moreover, as there are no general consistent legislative frameworks and approval procedures for landfill mining in most of the NWE region, RAWFILL team discusses with local authorities and facilitates the knowledge exchange on landfill management and mining at an EU-level in order to tackle the existing barriers.
